Yahya Hassan-Denmark

Yahya Hassan-Denmark

My opposite name sake (Yahya Hassan) (double- s) became famous in Denmark. He sparked a new debate on Islam in Denmark. He only published one book (last October). In contrast, an American Hasan (one- s) Yahya published 250 books in the last five years and he did not get his name sake reputation fame or wealth. His books sell less than five hundred copies of all his 250 books published in five years.

Yahya Hassan is a drop out student, teen ager young (thinker), the other, the American Hasan Yahya,  is an old professor of philosophy with two Ph.d degrees in his 70th. Both are from Palestine the land of innovation and intelligence.

Danish Yahya Hassan’ poems carry titles like “CHILDHOOD” and “DISGUSTED,” dealing with issues like the Holocaust, anti-Semitism, child abuse, and the interplay between violence and religion. Profanity and vivid analogies help carry his work.

A translated excerpt from “LONG POEM:”

“You don’t want pork meat, may Allah praise you for your eating habits, you want Friday prayer till the next Friday prayer, you want Ramadan till the next Ramadan, and between the Friday prayers and the Ramadans, you want to carry a knife in your pocket, you want to go and ask people if they have a problem, although the only problem is you.”

Prof. Hasan YahyaIt’s true……American Hasan Yahya, the philosopher,  partly agrees.

Sure. if you want to be famous in Europe and America, Dr. Hasan Yahya says: “F…..k your religion, your country, your people and you will be famous in Europe and USA. The silly media will run after you and will cover your blasphemy and apostacy. Yahya Hassan in Denmark did it through his illogical emotional innovative free approach. His expression is not unique though, too many apostates and anti-Muslim did it before. But American Hasan Yahya is a man of philosophy, theories and logic and accept much of the Danish Muslim argument. He also share much of the goals of previous Salman Rushdi author of The Satanic Verses, and Yahya Hassan. They are serious agents of change. Muslims need a hurricane to rethink logic rather than emotions. To day, the discrepancy between what we believe and what most people do is inconsistent. Yahya Hassan (the Danish-Palestine) and Rushdie (British-Indian) have in common the loud voice for changing Muslim behavior and ways of thinking and life. Such behavior is reflected daily in ugly way in Egypt by those call themselves Muslims. For sure, Islam needs new people who believe and act according to Islam not according to their dogmatic beliefs and desires, that they hate others because they believe that they are better than others.

Professor Hasan Yahya thinks of Yahya Hassan the teenager as a brave young man expresses what Islam says and what Muslims do. In other words, Modern Muslims have two personalities if not more. They believe in something and practice something else. What Yahya Hassan of Denmark is doing is a bread earning method,  a cheep innovative one, though, but it is effective to straight out Muslim behavior.
