Introduction: The magical stories of the Prophets are widely believed among peoples around the world. Qur’an gives a complete stories of most of these Prophets. However, it is said, that most these stories are mentioned in both Old Testament (The Torah of Jews) and New Testament (The Bible of Christians). In this book, the stories were collected from several resources, Islamic, Jewish and Christian resources, with emphasis on Islamic resources as depicted in Qur’an and Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him – pbuh).

Does Jesus (God) Knew Arabic? When the sixth hour came, darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour. At the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “ELOI, ELOI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?” (Mark 15:33,34)

Jesus according to this statement spoke Arabic Language saying in Arabic. Reading (if it is true), (إلهي إلهي لم شبكتني أو – بعثتني أو صبغتني ) , meaning “My God, My God, why You put me in trouble (Like the fish in the net-Shabaktani, or why do You change my color, or sent me, if you know what will happen to me)? – wondering and asking in the same time for help and forgiveness from GOD).

This is a possibility, furthermore, in Persian language and may be urdu (among Shi’as) tone today, when they moarn the killing of Hussein, Son of Ali, Karbala’s Martyr, they utter the same term, questioning God by saying: ELOHI, ELOHI. “My God. My God”. The connection and similarity of both concepts muscically and is superstitious but possible. Take for instance the Persian language, خدا ، میرے خدا کوئی نی but in Arabic uttering for God, Elo(h)i, Elo(h)i, meaning: O God! O God, why are you “Ko’ini,” means Shbktny or SABACHTHANI” (left me alone) almost all these letters are included in the Talmudic term” SABACHTHANI”. In fact the expected coming Imam among Shi’a is a strong belief as it is for Jesus in the belief of all religions, including Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. In India, however, the incarnation is also similar. Incarnation means personification of something or one life in series of lives, or periods spent in the body of a particular animal or person, or manifestation of god in human or animal form.

In India, the belief in incarnation is widely accepted.

To go back to the uttering of “ILOI, ELOI,” in the Bible, or “Elohi, Elohi” in Arabic, persian and Urdu, phonologically, words used in languages or sound system of language is a pattern of speech sounds used in a particular language might be applicable here.

Phonology is defined as the study of how sounds are organized and used in natural languages. The phonological system of a language includes an inventory of sounds and their features, and rules which specify how sounds interact with each other and what they mean. Phonology is just one of several aspects of language. It is related to other aspects such as phonetics, morphology, syntax, and pragmatics. Here is an illustration that shows the place of phonology in an interacting hierarchy of ascended levels in linguistics: Phonotics, Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantic, Pragmatic.

The difference between phonetics and phonology: Phonetics is the basis for phonological analysis, while phonology is the basis for further work in morphology, syntax, discourse, and orthography design.

Phonetics analyzes the production of all human speech sounds, regardless of language, but phonology analyzes the sound patterns of a particular language by two ways:

determining which phonetic sounds are significant, and
explaining how these sounds are interpreted by the native speaker

If we apply models of phonology to our knowledge of phonological representations and processes in both classical phonetics and standard generative phonology models, where distinctive feature of sound segments. Each segment is composed of simultaneously occurring features. Even time stands an obstacle in this case, but talking to God is normal between Jesus and God (His Father), and in that case, ELOI, ELOI, not Yahwa or Jahwa, was the phonetics, but Arabic words to give the impression of the Arabic Prophet by saying, ELO(H)I, ELO(H)I. This idea of phonology and phoitics still arguable in this case. But believing that languages came first from one mother root of all languages, later languages then may interacted for a purpose. Arabi and Ebri, both are taken from ‘Abara – عبر (means crossed) the desert, and both Arab and H(E)br(o)ew were very close in their development. More research to apply other original words is needed for further studies to prove that Jesus spoke Arabic.

In conclusion, this book authored by the Arab Jordanian-American from Palestine. writer. It includes the stories of Prophets from Adam to Muhammad (PBUT). The book is great for children’s and adult libraries. AAE.

Dr. Hasan A. Yahya Biographical Sketch

HASAN YAHYA was born at a small village called Majdal-YaFa (Majdal Sadiq) in Mandate Palestine (1944). He migrated as a refugee to Mes-ha, a village east of Kufr Qasim, west of Nablus (in the West Bank), then moved with his family to Zarka, 25 km north of Amman – Jordan. He finished the high school at Zarka Secondary School, 1963. He was appointed as a teacher in the same year. Studied Law first at Damascus University, then Lebanon University. He moved to Kuwait. Where he got married in 1967. He was working at Kuwait Television, taught at bilingual School, and Kuwait University. In 1982, Hasan left to the United States to continue his education at Michigan State University. He got the Master Degree in 1983, the Ph.D degree in 1988 in Education (Psychology of Administration ). In 1991, He obtained his post degree in research, the result was a second Ph.D degree in Social Psychology. He was the only Arab student who enrolled ever to pursue two simultaneous Ph.D programs from Michigan State University .

Professor Yahya employment history began as a supervisor of a joint project to rehabilitate Youth (inmates out of prison) by Michigan State University and Intermediate School Districts. Worked also as a Teacher Assistant and lecturer in the same university. He was offered a position at Lansing Community College as well as Jackson Community College where he was assistant professor, then associate professor, then full professor (1991-2006). He taught Sociology, psychology, education, criminology and research methods. He supervised 19 Master and Ph.D candidates on various personal, economic psychological and social development topics. Professor Yahya published Hundreds of articles and research reports in local, regional, and international journals. His interest covers local, regional and global conflicts. He also authored, translated, edited and published over 200 books in several languages, in almost all fields especial education, sociology and psychology. He also, was a visiting professor at Eastern Michigan University to give Conflict Management courses. Prof. Yahya accepted an offer to join Zayed University Faculty Team in 1998, then he served as the Head of Education and Psychology Department at Ajman University of Science and Technology 2001-04.

Dr. Yahya established several institutes in Diaspora, the Arab American Encyclopedia, Ihyaa al Turath al Arabi Project, (Revival of Arab Heritage in Diaspora.Recently he was nominated for honorary committee member for the Union of Arab and Muslim Writers in America, and accepted to be a board member in International Journal of Humanities Studies. He was affiliated with sociological associations and was a member of the Association of Muslim Social Scientists (AMSS) at USA. Social Activities and Community Participation: Dr. Yahya was a national figure on Diversity and Islamic Issues in the United States, with special attention to Race Relations and Psychology of Assimilation. He was invited as a public speaker to many TV shows and interviews in many countries. His philosophy includes enhancing knowledge to appreciate the others, and to compromise with others in order to live peacefully with others. This philosophy was the backgrounds of his theory, called “ Theory C. of Conflict Management”. And developed later to a Science of Cultural Normalization under the title: “Crescentology. The results of such theory will lead to world peace depends on a global Knowledge, Understanding, appreciation, and Compromising (KUAC)” (Revised Feb. 2013)

ولد الدكتور حسن عبدالقادر يحيى في مجدل يابا من أعمال يافا – فلسطين عام 1944. تلقى علومه الابتدائية في مدرسة بديا الأميرية في الضفة الغربية أيام احتوائها ضمن المملكة الأدردنية الهاشمية وتخرج في جامعة بيروت حاملاً الإجازة في اللغة العربية وآدابها، ودبلوم التأهيل التربوي من كلية القديس يوسف بلبنان، ودبلوم الدراسات العليا (الماجستير) ودكتوراة في الإدارة التربوية من جامعة ولاية ميشيغان بالولايات المتحدة عام 1988، وشهادة الدكتوراه في علم الاجتماع المقارن من الجامعة نفسها عام 1991. عمل في التدريس والصحافة الأدبية. أديب وشاعر وقاص ، منصرف إلى الكتابة في علوم كثيرة تخص علمي النفس والاجتماع والتنمية البشرية ، ألف ونشر العديد من المقالات (1000 +) والكتب باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية (أكثر من 200 كتابا) ، منها ست مجموعات قصصية وست كتب للأطفال ، وأربع دواوين شعرية باللغتين أيضا. وعدد من كتب التراث في الشعر والأدب والأخلاق الإسلامية والتربية والأديان . وهو الآن أستاذ متقاعد في جامعة ولاية ميشيغان. . وكان عضوا سابقا في جمعية العلماء المسلمين في أمريكا . وهو مؤسس الموسوعة العربية الأمريكية في الولايات المتحدة ضمن مشروع إحياء التراث العربي في بلاد المهجرز كما تم ترشيحه مؤخرا ليكون عضو مجلس التحرير لمجلة الدراسات الإنسانية العالمية.
